Hi All,

My coworker, Mya Austin, and I are looking for some pictures of some bee species for an in-house species dichotomous key. For context, we are student interns at Massasoit Community College in the STEM Research program. The program has been running for 10+ years and is studying the abundance of the wild bee population in Plymouth County, MA over time. We have our sample collection of 20,000+ bees identified to genus-level, but species-level identification is the goal.

If you have pictures you'd be willing to share with us, we are specifically looking for:
  • Anthophora Walshii (male),
  • Chelostoma Philadelphi (female),
  • Coelioxys Funeraria (female and male),
  • Osmia Cornifrons (female and male),
  • Macropis Patella (male),
  • Sphecodes Autumnalis (female and male),
  • Sphecodes Cressonii (female and male),
  • Sphecodes Galerus (female and male),
  • Sphecodes Levis (female and male),
  • Sphecodes Minor (female and male),
  • Sphecodes Pimpinellae (female and male), and
  • Sphecodes Townesi (female and male)
Thank you,
Meg
