Hi All,
My coworker, Mya Austin, and I are looking for some pictures of some bee species for an in-house species dichotomous key. For context, we are student interns at Massasoit Community College in the STEM Research program. The program has been running for 10+ years and is studying the abundance of the wild bee population in Plymouth County, MA over time. We have our sample collection of 20,000+ bees identified to genus-level, but species-level identification is the goal.
If you have pictures you'd be willing to share with us, we are specifically looking for:
- Anthophora Walshii (male),
- Chelostoma Philadelphi (female),
- Coelioxys Funeraria (female and male),
- Osmia Cornifrons (female and male),
- Macropis Patella (male),
- Sphecodes Autumnalis (female and male),
- Sphecodes Cressonii (female and male),
- Sphecodes Galerus (female and male),
- Sphecodes Levis (female and male),
- Sphecodes Minor (female and male),
- Sphecodes Pimpinellae (female and male), and
- Sphecodes Townesi (female and male)
Thank you,
Meg
