Hi beekeepers and bee friends,
It's been a while! I hope your bees are doing well and will continue to do well in this, the trickiest of seasons. Personally I had no bees of my own last year but I've put my orders in and can't wait to get started again.
In the meantime the Wayland Conservation Committee Department has been super great with us beekeepers at the Cow Common. There let me know that this winter they are going to pull the invasives in that meadow, so as to planting natives in Spring. The Cow Common (South of the Community Gardens) is already a gem and will be even more beautiful as there is a beautiful old stone wall and foundation hidden in the weeds that they want to bring to light.
They would love some volunteers - even if only for an hour or two. Do let Ryan Brown (
rbr...@wayland.ma.us) if you'd like to help out.
Also, anyone want to keep bees at Cow Common this Spring, let me know!
