Hi everyone,
I just ordered nucs from Warm Colors in South Deerfield. Tentative pickup dates are the weekends of April 27-28, and May 11-12.  Has anyone else here, or will anyone else here, order nucs as well? (Packages pickups are earlier.) If so, please let me know so we can coordinate a carpool. My EV will get me there, but not back 😒.

Sorry, I can't help with rides.
However, I'll offer a word of caution-- Are the nucs offered on these dates from Coy Apiaries OR Warm Colors?
Either way-- Inspect them while you are there. Inspect them before you even put them on your truck or in your vehicle. Inspect in the presence of the seller.

Why you ask?

2 years ago I bought two Russian nucs from Warm colors that came via Coy Apiary (one of the Russian breeders). The nucs were rubbish. Neither lived to see the Autumn- one was sick out of the box and didn't even respond to treatment.. I ended up burning 6 of 10 frames.

HI Kaat
All the girls are looking strong eating tons and looking good I'll send a pic of how we insulated the hives.
We made covers with Coraplast and then insulated with 2 inch foam on 3 sides so far so good all 3 hives seem strong!
Fingers crossed!
Last year by this time we were down 3 with only 1 left. Which passed by Feb first!
