Stumped on this hive

Hi folks,

Looking for input on what you think happened to my hive now that I'm officially saying it's a goner.

Seemed to make it strong through the winter. However, first inspection of season revealed only drone brood. Unable to find queen, requeened to no avail. I think it's pretty clear too much time passed. My question is how there is still drone brood being produced continuously and pollen and honey flowing in. Wouldn't laying workers have died off by now given there hasn't been any normal brood after winter?

Also, I found some dead in the comb today with stingers out. Just assuming there was robbing or some threat due to it being so weak already?
