Tool to split DNA positions

Dear All, 

I would like to know if you have a tool to split a DNA position into certain length parts and specifying the length of the interval. For example, I have this position "chr1 5 15034" (chr start end) and I would like to split it in 15 sequences of 1000 bp with 1bp interval from one position to the other:

chr1 5 1005

chr1 1007 2007 

chr1 2009 3009

...

chr1 14034  15034

Have you tried "bedtools makewindows"?
