Bedford Town Trail Walk

Wilderness and York Conservation Areas

Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 9:45 am

 

Please join the Bedford Trails Committee for a free walk around the Wilderness and York Conservation Areas.

 

The walk will be slow-paced, about 2 hours duration. We will start and finish the walk at the trailhead near 34 Wildwood Drive (although the actual meet-up location is still behind the Bedford Library). The walk will pass through the York Conservation Area before a short stretch on the Narrow Gauge Rail Trail, then cross Springs Road for a loop in Wilderness Park Conservation Area. A similar route in reverse will return to Wildwood Drive.

Notes:   Children and dogs are welcome. 

We will walk regardless of the weather – rain or shine.

It will be buggy, including both mosquitos and ticks.  Dress appropriately and/or use insect repellant.

The walk will cover trails that may be rocky, muddy, rough, uneven, and hilly.  Please wear comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes or boots that can handle the weather.
