Subject: BOW Opportunities

Greetings to our Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Friends and Family,

The International BOW Destinations Adventures program is now accepting registrations for the Baja BOW. Go snorkeling, hiking, and kayaking in one of the most beautiful and biologically diverse places in the world – the Sea of Cortez, Baja Mexico.

Trip description and pricing, FAQs, a fun video from a previous Baja BOW, and on-line registration are all available here:

http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr-ap/BOW/Pages/destinations.aspx

Registration for BOW in Belize will be available soon at the same address, so bookmark the page and start planning your adventure!

We have a new look to our website. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out at:

http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr-ap/BOW/Pages/default.aspx

We’ll continue to improve the layout and navigation as we work with the pages. In the meantime, feel free to give feedback by emailing pfar...@uwsp.edu. We are always happy to hear from you.

And don’t forget to check us out on Facebook:

This is the FB page for International BOW. Individual state/provincial BOW programs have FB pages too. Just type “Becoming an Outdoors-Woman” in the FB search window and you’ll get results for Kansas, Oklahoma, South Dakota, British Columbia, New Hampshire and more. This is a fun way to see photos from workshops and to keep up with what’s happening with BOW.

And one more opportunity on the horizon that many of you will be excited to hear about – Winter BOW in Wisconsin, 2013, will have open registration shortly after October 1st. Participants from all over the U.S. and Canada have attended this very popular workshop that includes classes in dog sledding, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, winter survival, winter ecology, and more.

Arizona BOW coordinators Linda Dightmon and Kim Kreuzer braved the cold in order to attend Winter BOW 2008 (2013 marks our 15th annual Winter BOW). Linda and Kim’s reflections on the workshop were published in “Arizona Wildlife News” the following spring. See the attached article for a humorous and mostly accurate portrayal of Winter BOW.

I hope many of you have the opportunity to attend one of our workshops or events in the coming months. We have a lot to offer in many states, provinces and beyond!

All the best,

Peggy
