Where is Everyone?

Where have all my weight loss friends gone? It's been pretty darn
quiet here lately. How is everyone doing - reaching goals? needing
encouragement? discovering new exercise techniques?

I did my pilates video for the second time last night; and I did it
much better than last time. I'm getting a better sense of balance in
my "core" I think. I've also been able to complete a full half-hour
on the treadmill at 3.5 mph on an uphill slant without having to slow
my speed down to catch my breath. So, the more I do the walking/
treadmill/exercising, the better I seem to get. That's encouraging.

My husband went below 200 lbs this morning and he says he feels "light
as a cloud." My new short-term goal is to get below where he is. I
want to feel "lighter than a cloud." :-) Only 9 pounds to go at this
point for me to get below 200. One of these days, I swear, I will
weigh less than my husband.

I hope all of you in the group are doing well. Check in once in
awhile - you are missed. :-)

I fell off the bandwagon when Chris and Karen visited us last week - didn't exercise at all and ate out a lot.  I still tried to make healthy choices, but it's still "eating out", you know?  I had gained 4 pounds (ACK!) but the scale now says I've lost two of those 4.  I exercised yesterday, but I might not today.  I'm jamming to get a book finished, one I've been working on forever, so I might just work with some weights today and maybe do a few things on my stability ball.
 
Still trying to get my quota of water in for the day.  I was able to down 4 bottles yesterday, so that's good.  I'm on my first one today.  I drank a lot of water while our friends were here, but it was hard to get that 4 bottles in every day.  When we go camping, we'll have to schedule walks every day.  That'll be fun!  :D

Your weight gain is most likely due to missing out on your exercise, since you were making healthy choices even while eating out.  I've discovered if I miss exercising, my scale usually does not move down like I want it to.  You've lost two of the gained pounds already, so you are back on track - just a minor little tour taken off path.  :-)
 
For certain we will have some good walks during the camping trip.  I can't wait!
