Hello out there! Has everyone fallen off the weight loss wagon?
Haven't seen any postings in awhile, so thought I'd jump in. I had a
most wonderful two week vacation and managed to get in exercise on
most days (but not all). Did walking, hiking, and treadmill and
weights in hotels that had exercise rooms. I did splurge too much on
food and ended up gaining four pounds. I've lost 2 of those already
and expect to be back where I was before I went on vacation by the end
of this week. Then, of course, I'm hoping to continue losing more.
I'm very much enjoying my Wii Fit. It has a lot of good yoga
exercises that I like, plus balancing, stretching, aerobics, etc. It
chided me for gaining weight and made my Mii a bit more plump. I hope
everyone else is doing well and staying on plan. Wishing you all a
happy, healthy week. Luann

I haven't been to strict in the food department but I have been paying attention to my weight gain so far since I lost four pounds I have kept it off and have not gained any weight back...that does make me feel good!!  I know for sure I could be doing better by walking and eating better but at this point I'm just glad to not be gaining...for the time being!

I've been horrible.. I haven't been eating right and haven't exercised since we got back from camping.. I really have no reason for not being better either.. I think I have just been plain discouraged.. I also have not lost or gained any weight.

I go to the doctor on the 17th for a complete physical to rule out any weird medical abnormalities that might be making it difficult to lose the weight.. and to see why I'm so blasted tired all the time!

Ugh. :(

Val, good job on keeping that four pounds off.  That's an accomplishment!  Keep it up!

Joliene,

Give yourself credit for maintaining and not gaining.  That's something. Hopefully your doctor will be able to give you some insight on what is keeping you from losing and on why you are so tired.  I hope you get some answers that will set you on the road to feeling much better.  Don't get so discouraged that you stop exercising - just do a bit each day even if it's just stretching or walking around the block.  Any little bit to make exercising each day a habit.

Having met you camping, you seem pretty close to a decent weight and it is always harder to lose weight when you are close to what you should be.  Hang in there.  Your body will respond sooner or later I'm certain.

Take care,

Luann

I haven't been exercising, but that's due to not feeling too well and having no energy.  I also have cheated quite a bit on my diet as camping/house guests made me backslide a bit.  Good news is, I haven't gained.  I've lost a couple of pounds, but I seem to be fluxuating up and down day by day between a 5 pound window.

Went to my doctor yesterday and they congratulated me on the weight loss since I went back in January, so that made me feel good.  I'm hoping to get back into the swing of exercising soon - I do the resistance band every now and again, but that's not enough for weight loss.  I'm still eating breakfast every day, however, and I'm drinking more green tea, thanks to my mom-in-law, who introduced me to Lipton's Diet Green Tea with Mixed Berry flavor.  I HATE tea without flavor, but this stuff is actually good.  They have another flavor, in citrus, but I don't like that one as much.  I've heard green tea has a bajillion good things it does for you, including increasing your metabolism.  We shall see.  Maybe that's why I haven't gained my 42 pounds back from eating out all the dang time...

I reallyreallyreally want a treadmill.  Sometimes I just want to walk instead of doing those aerobic Leslie Sansone vids, but who wants to walk when there's construction going on in my neighborhood, and who wants to DRIVE somewhere to walk?  Gah.  Maybe that's what I'll ask Santa for this year.  :)

Becka,

You are doing good!  Not gaining while you are pregnant means you are actually losing.  Keep it up!  I'm sorry you aren't feeling too perky - hopefully that will pass soon.  I'm glad your doctor recognized the effort and success you've achieved in losing weight.

A treadmill for Christmas?  I'll be sure to remind Santa about that request.  :-)  Keep up with the resistance band and get back to your walking video when you feel better . . . any little bit of activity helps.  You are awesome in my books!

Love, Mom
