The strength training I'm doing with my resistance band and the
stability ball is definitely working. I can't "see" the muscle
definition because of the flab I have yet to lose, but I can feel the
muscles being harder and more pronounced when I flex. :D I'm hoping
when I get thin and sexay I'll have nice pretty arms, the kind you
envy in a tank top. Heheh

Also, I broke into the next pound down this morning, so I'm at a total
loss of 38lbs so far in 3 months. My goal was a 50lb loss by our
family/friend camping trip, but I don't think that will happen. But I
might try for 45!! :D

Since drinking all this water, I notice I get thirsty for it more.
I'll open the fridge and think, "Ooh, I want some water!" :P Maybe
I'm finally starting to recognize what it feels like to be dehydrated.

Anyhow, that's my status report for this weekend. I'm planning on
measuring myself again on Monday, so I'll let you know if any girth
has been lost. :)

OMGosh! I just got out of the shower after doing some yard work and
on a whim, I decided to try on my wedding ring. IT FITS ME AGAIN!!!
I haven't been able to wear it for - goodness - I don't know how
long. But I refused to get it sized up for my sausage fingers. :P
Every few days, I've been trying it on, and every time it's been "not
yet". But today, it fits, even slips on and off smoothly, I'm not
forcing it at all. It's not loose, it's at that "just right" stage.

Woohoo! This is a big moment. I've been waiting so long to wear my
wedding ring again. It's going to be odd, getting used to it again...

The next big moment will be when this baby gets loose. Then I'll be
overjoyed to get it sized DOWN! :D

It used to be a size 7 when DH gave it to me 14 years ago, but it was
way too big. I had to get it sized down to a 4 1/2. Wow, that's a
tiny finger! Then I got fat, and had to have it cut off. That was a
sad, sad day. Sized it up to a size 7 (again) and that's where it is
right now. I'm so stoked, because the last time I sized my finger, I
was a size 9. :( Guess I'm a 7 again. Getting back to 4 1/2 would
RULE. :P

Great job on the continuing weight loss - 38 pounds in three months is absolutely awesome!  Congratulations also on getting hyour wedding ring back on - that's really neat!  I finally saw the scale move downward a smidge this morning, so I'm hoping my plateau is over.  I'll wait a few days and see if I continue down enough smidges to know I'm off the plateau.

I participated in the Relay for Life walk today.  I was asked by some people at work to come and do the "survivors' walk".  Thom and I showed up at the park in Apple Valley earely this morning.  I signed in and received my purple survivor t-shirt; and then walked the first lap along with about 25 to 30 other cancer survivors.  It was kind of neat.  After the initial lap, then all the teams have at least one team member on the walk until tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. when the even officially is over.  Thom and I walked over an hour this morning; and returned early evening and walked over an hour again.  In between, we went to my girlfriend's house to get her swamp cooler going - so climbing up a ladder and crawling around on a roof counts for even more exercise in my book.  Needless to say, I'm pooped out.  It was a pretty great day though.

I can definitely feel my muscles hollering at me after my initial Pilates session last night.  Mainly my thighs, bottom, shoulders, and neck.  I may give it a try again tomorrow.  Right now, I'm going to plant my tired self in a chair, watch some Jerry Seinfeld, and then get some sleep.

Talk with you all later.

Yay becks for your ring fitting again!!  It has been one week since I bought my scale, remember how I told you I miscalculated my original weight...well according to the scale I have lost 3 pounds since last week.  My thought was I probably lost three pounds a week since I started one month ago which would be a potential weight lost mtd of 12 pounds...I hope I'm feeling really good about this number and hopefully it continues to go down.  Today I am going to start with the ball and make this happen baby!!!!  I can't wait!

Val,

It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case for your weight loss, since you lose it really fast once you first change your eating/exercising habits, which you have.  YAY on the 3 pound loss!  That's fabulous in one week's time!  :D

Starting to see the muscle definition a bit in the mirror - took a
shower and noticed a small bump in my bicep and a lump for a tricep,
so the strength training is a-workin'! :D When I flex, they feel
fairly solid, which is a good thing. Think I should bump up to the
5lb-ers pretty soon. :)

Didn't get much work out in today because I had to take our van in to
get the brakes replaced, but I did some strength training when I got
home. I might do some walking or get out of the house and ride around
our "L" shaped cul-de-sac on my bike with the kidlets - sure, not a
lot of exercise there, but it's a gorgeous day, and it's fun to ride
down the little hill we have. :)
