Net Tonight 19:30 | National Night Out August 4

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Tonight will be a regular Net at 19:30 (7:30PM)

Next week is National Night Out

There will be. no formal Net, participants are encouraged to make contact between 18:00 - 19:00 (6-7PM). Recommended format is to announce your call sign at 6:00PM, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45 and 7:00PM. 

If we have a volunteer or two that would like to take the lead, please reply to this email or let me know on tonight's net.

The typical format is to (1) announce your call sign and (2) inquire if there are other stations monitoring. If you are hosting an event or visiting one, it is nice to provide a short report.

Example: "Enjoying the Vine | McGee neighborhood event, BFD Truck #3 is here"

The best way to deal with emergencies is to train and practice beforehand, so that response becomes automatic.
