Yea I did see that. The results are fantastic. I'm curious how strong the final print is. Can you make usable parts out of that resin or is it just for models? I have heard that resin he is using is pretty expensive but the results may be worth it.

This sounds like the method used by the vflash. A vflash resin cartridge costs around $900. Plus you have to give each piece a bath in fixant and then a rinse in water.

Even if its only for modeling, I'd still be interested. I usually give my Makebot pieces a quick bath in acetone to smooth the surfaces (which also weakens the structure).

I've never tried that acetone trick. I may have to give it a shot if I print a part I need or want smooth. I do like the finish the ABP gives to the bottom side of my parts. It's always smooth and glossy from the heated platform. I wish the rest of the sides looked like that.
