I'm using 1.75mm filament, but the T-O-M came with a bag of 3mm filament that I do not need.
Still unopened. Anyone need or want it? I work across the street from the Beaverton Creek MAX stop.

I would love it but Beaverton is a bit too far of a drive for me.  How has the 1.75mm worked for you?  I'm using the 3mm and it's been fantastic.  I'm curious how much better the 1.75mm can be.  Have you noticed any differences?  Was it easy to switch your skeinforge settings to use the new size?

I never experienced printing with 3mm filament. I decided to built the TOM using the 1.75mm kit.

So far I haven't run into many problems, except that I need to get a spindle/spool because it's pulling a lot more length than a 3mm filament.
I can also follow the end of the filament with another one without any issue, or discernible print quality change.

What issues or concerns do you have with the 3mm? I can let you know if I see the same issues with the 1.75.

I actually haven't had many issues with mine yet.  I'm still slowly dialing in skeinforge settings too so it's difficult to say if any small problems I'm having are caused by the filling size or just tweaks that I need to make in skeinforge.  I also have a few problems sometimes that seem to be caused by the way Google sketchup exports STL files.  You have to use a third party plugin for that and sometimes it seems like it will just forget to export a random face.  Mostly I haven't had many issues though.  This could also be thanks to the stepstruder.

If you are giving it away and I'm not too late, I'll take it. I can pick it up on Friday.

Definitely. I have no need for it, so it's yours.
