I am just starting to set up for putting together a Mendel.  I am at the reading everything vociferously and realizing the extent of my shortcomings phase. 

Maybe sometimes (at your convenience) you would allow me to take a peek at your Mendel and your cupcake and just give a rookie an idea of what awaits. 

Thanks a lot for putting the stuff up for us to look at, gives us all something to shoot for.

Hey John,

glad you like my photos and info. I haven't completed printing the
mendel parts. I am pretty close though. There are a few parts that
aren't makerbot printable, from what I am seeing. The x and y
carriages are too large for the makerbot. This is an issue. Also I
plan to use a different design for the extruder. When these issues
are solved then I'll post up photos of the assembled Mendel. Where
are you located at? What do you have so far? Makerbot?
