Dear Organizers and Neighborhood Assemblies,
This incident despicable and i hope that you read this and understand that supporting this woman, Angela and her family is exactly why we have come together and have formed this movement. We as a the poor and working class people are being bullied by unethical and greedy banks and cooperations and we absolutely cannot allow for them to continue doing this to us. This is the time to stand up to the bullies and defend the defenceless!
Below are two separate calls to be in solidarity with a family who is losing the battle with the banks. This is our chance to fight with our presence and our voices. This is not right. This is unjust! And this bullying cannot continue!
Lets go and help our sister keep her house for Christmas!
RALLY TO SAVE HER HOME! Fri, Dec. 23, 10 - 11am at Mult. Co. Bldg. (SE Hawthorne @ MLK)
Angela Hill and her two children deserve the right to keep their home on SE 120th. The day before Christmas, Fannie Mae and Wells Fargo are teaming up with Multnomah County to auction off their home.
Angela asks that you take a moment of your time to come out and show... your support in solidarity of all people's right to housing. With enough supportive people, the hope is to pressure the financial institutions and County to allow Angela and family to keep the house, therefore avoiding their homelessness.
Under tremendous hardships, Angela has given so much to Groundwork Portland this past year, the Emerson Street Garden, and youth from da Vinci school. She, and her entire family have been rooted in Portland for generations, giving back to the community in countless ways.
Can you come tomorrow morning?
Thank you.
Heres another email requesting support as well:
Tomorrow 9:30 AM
The Multnomah Building off of Grand Avenue
501 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Suite 175, Portland, OR
See links for details. Join the facebook group to show you will be attending!
So we will meet at the Multinomah Building, not her home in the morning @9:30am friday(tomorrow)
I'll see you there!
