Three Weeks until Beaver BarCamp 11

With just three weeks left until Beaver BarCamp 11 on April 20, we wanted to give you all an update on both our planning and opportunities surrounding BBC11 in the next few weeks.
We are happy to announce our new Beaver BarCamp website (beaverbarcamp.org) created by our new student graphic designer, Mitchell Garcia. We decided that a static site generator would be more appropriate for our needs and built the site off of the Pelican Static Site Generator. We chose Pelican because it supports Django templates, which are already used in the lab. To ease the development of the site, we used Twitter Bootstrap.
Currently, we are happy to have both Github and Silicon Mechanics as our sponsors for Beaver BarCamp. We are still working with several other companies who may be interested and those should be finalized within the week. These sponsorships allow us to not only secure Kelley Engineering Center for Beaver BarCamp, but also provide refreshments and T-shirts — and we know everyone likes those! We encourage all of you to attend Beaver BarCamp 11 Saturday, April 20. We are sure to have a variety of interesting and informative sessions from our students and community members, but please feel free to brainstorm and host a session (or two) of your own. Also, continue to spread the word as we love seeing first-time BarCampers.
