Applicationfor visa must be submitted in person with no more than 180 days in advance to your trip and at least 15 days before. Applications with more than 180 days in advance to your trip will not be accepted. Crew members can apply 9 months in advance.

Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of 18 USD /- (inclusive tax) payable in Cash or Debit Card. Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.

Travel Insurance is mandatory for travelling to Spain. You may get your travel insurance from any authorized insurance company/agent or you may Click here if you wish to avail it now from Europ Assistance.

2. Cover Letter stating Applicant details, Purpose of travel, Dates of travel, Return information, Cover letter must include details of any other accompanying persons as well. This includes family members, friends, or business associates traveling for the same purpose. Please mention any special circumstances or requests to the Consulate

3. Passport valid for a minimum of three months upon entry into the U.S. Passport must have at least two blank pages available. The passport must not be older than 10 years. Diplomats traveling for work must apply directly at the Consulate. U.S. Passport holders traveling on tourism do not need a visa for a short stay of up to 90 days.

4. One passport size photograph in color, 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size, printed on matte or glossy photo quality paper, taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance and in front of a plain white or off-white background.

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from Consulate General of Spain minimum processing time is 15 working days (It may delay depending on case to case).

The decision regarding visa applications is made solely by the competent authorities, and BLS International has no role or influence in this process. Be cautious of intermediaries selling visa appointments under the name of BLS International or individually outside our center. All appointments must be booked through the BLS International website. Please refrain from purchasing appointments through a third party: this is a fraudulent practice that BLS International strongly condemns. A new regulation has been issued by the Spanish Ministry of Health, dealing with the health measures to be implemented and concerning the travellers arriving in Spain. In this regard, it is mandatory for prospective travellers to know about the following:

If applying as a family, all family members must provide their own individual documents. Every applicant who is submitting documents in this Spain Visa Application Centre should attend an appointment in person (including children under the age of 12).

4. In case of sponsored trip: notarised sponsorship letter duly dated and signed, officially translated into Spanish, supported by the following sponsor documents: passport (original and copy), employment letter originally signed and dated within a month, last 6 months bank statement.

- Joint travel confirmation (letter signed by the person who has booked the accommodation).

This official form should be completed by the host at the police station of their place of residence in Spain and send by post to the applicant.

The letter written by the host will not be accepted.

5. The acceptance of a visa application and documents by BLS does not guarantee the issuance of a visa. Once an application is forwarded to the Consulate, they may request more documentation or make further requests from you in order to process the application.

7. During the processing time the passport is secured in the consulate. Passport can only be withdrawn during this period if a written request, signed by the applicant, is forwarded to the Consulate through BLS. The passport will be returned via BLS only . No passport can be withdrawn directly from Consulate.

Children under 18 years old - must have their form signed by both parents or legal guardians. Original birth certificate or adoption certificate, passports of both parents (original and copy) and Schengen visas, if applicable, must be attached.

In case of minors travelling without their parents or legal guardians, or travelling with one single parent, in addition to the documents mentioned above, applicant must submit:

- Notarised authorisation of the parents or of the parent who does not travel with the minor.

Please note that the minimum processing time of a visa application is 15 Working Days (but may take up to 60 days). Consequently, the applicants are requested to apply well in advance to the intended date of journey.

The Schengen visa allows the holder to travel to any of the Schengen States and to transit through their territory, but it does not automatically entitle them to enter the Schengen area. The border authorities can refuse entry if the visa holder does not provide proof of the purpose and specifics of the trip, or if any of the other entry requirements are not met (please refer to the section Conditions for entry into Spain").

2. Photograph. A recent, passport-size, colour photograph, taken against a light background, facing forward, without dark or reflective glasses, or any garments concealing the oval of the face. Photographs of minors must not show any part of the adult holding them.

3. Valid, unexpired passport. Original and a photocopy of the page or pages of the passport that contain biometric data. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date from the Schengen territory. It must also contain at least two blank pages. Passports issued more than 10 years ago will not be accepted.

Visa fee payment is compulsory and has to be made at the same time when submitting a visa application. The fee has to be paid in local currency and it is subject to regular changes due to the currency fluctuations. Please check the list of Consular fees. 6. Documents corroborating the purpose of travel and the specifics of the stay, that the visa applicant has sufficient financial means, as well as the intention of the visa applicant to leave the Schengen area before the visa expires.

Persons whose visa application has been refused because they are banned from entering the Schengen area may exercise their rights of access, rectification and erasure of their personal data in the Schengen Information System (SIS) by addressing the Ministry of the Interior.
