I installed 2016 yesterday and have yet to figure out why I keep getting this message. I have followed all of the steps in the link that is provided when you click the Details button and it still is not working. I have a 64bit system and downloaded the appropriate Electrical version. I didn't have this issue when I installed 2015, so I'm pretty confused. I have uninstalled & re-installed the "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 about 10 times now and still nothing. Does anyone else have an issue like this, or has anyone had this issue and resolved it?
I have however recently encountered a user who was having this issue where it was actually a domain IT policy that was blocking this. We were able to detect that it was a domain policy due to seeing an error in the event log like the one below. If you see an error like this in your event log, you need to follow up with your IT support to modify the policy
This problem just started on my PC but I can't find the AceRedist.msi file. I'm running ACAD 2016 electrical on a Windows 10 64bit PC and have Office 2016 installed. Can I download this file somewhere?
Just as a follow up I would like to say before you try to update any drivers see what else you installed. For example thanks to this thread I remembered I just installed DriverEasy. I uninstalled this driver and didn't get the error again.
I hate this autocad versions that has to check the license every time on the internet. the software is weak on that part. I think autodesk has to issue the user a hardware key and get rid of this way to check the licenses. every time the dumb IT guys change the polices they ruin the access for this software.
