BeatSeq v1.5 — now available for testing

[BeatSeq Closed Testing]

Hey everyone,

v1.5 is live in the testing track. This one's a big update — the biggest since launch. Here's what's changed:

Quick Menu — completely rebuilt
The menu now adapts to where you are in the app. On a drum page it shows your drum's volume, banks, and tools. On the settings page you get session and project tools. On the SMPL page you get all the sampler controls. The menu is faster to navigate and nothing is buried.

MIX mode
The settings page now has a three-way toggle: TEMPO · SWING · MIX. In MIX mode you get a drum selector, the current volume front and centre, and a strip showing all 9 drums at a glance. The bezel controls the selected drum's level. You can now mix your kit without leaving your wrist.

Song mode — chain builder
Song mode used to always play A→B→C→D. Now you build your own sequence — tap the bank buttons in order to append them (up to 8 slots). Want A A B A? Done. The chain persists when you toggle song mode off and back on.

Hide drums
In Quick Menu → ORDER, each drum now has a hide toggle. Hidden drums disappear from navigation entirely and go silent in playback. Useful if you're not using all 9 channels on a given pattern.

Export
WAV, stems, and MIDI are now separate toggles. Pick what you want, hit EXPORT once.

New icon
Fresh look on the launcher and app list.

Faster startup
The app reaches the sequencer noticeably faster — the screen no longer hangs while audio initialises.

Would love to know if anything feels off — especially the new Quick Menu flow, MIX mode bezel routing, and the song chain builder. Those are the biggest behaviour changes.
