And I hadn't even gotten around to commenting on the previous version yet!

Menu looks fine now on my phone since the previous revision. I love
the new game-mode switching style.
I've noticed some extremely minor lag when playing a .sm file in osu!
mode on hard difficulty, but not otherwise. As in, I don't get up to
80 fps any more. Nothing like the lag reported by others.
I like the new look of osu! mod, with the lines connecting distant
beats. Although the only time I really see them is in Osu!rand mode,
because otherwise the beats tend to be too close together. (On my
phone) Examples in Screenshot 1/Screenshot 2 (osu!random). Contrast
Screenshot 4 (osu!pattern)
Sliders look great, but... I don't think I've figured out how to make
them work yet. Basically the only time I've managed to pass one was if
it was a short one and I was spamming. What am I supposed to do?
Oh yes, and if I switch over to osu!random mode on an actual .osz file
with sliders, something... weird happens. Like in Screenshot 3.
Sliders work fine in random mode for .sm files. In as far as I can
make them work for me at all, but that's me sucking, not due to Beats.
:-)

I'll check all of that in the morning. ;-) I'll have time to play on
my way in to work.

I'm sorry if it looked like I was complaining about that, because I
honestly wasn't. I haven't noticed anything like that. I'm really
impressed by the conversion, actually!
The only thing I can think of that might have given that impression
was just me grumping again that in pattern mode, beats are really
close together in sm-> osu files. I wasn't expecting anything like a
fix on that anyway.

The screenshot was taken from http://osu.ppy.sh/s/9407 on medium, but
I've also noticed it on http://osu.ppy.sh/s/26882
(I love that second one a lot. It's very relaxing music to play, it
has plenty of curves and holds and enough notes to make it
interesting, but few enough to make it comfortably playable. It's not
so good for testing, though, as the stepfile has a rather long wait at
the start before notes start appearing)
I'll add again that this wasn't in normal osu! mode, but in
osu!RANDOM, with a proper osz file containing curves
The problem is not so much the curve going wonky, but that the 'end'
beat of the curve is no longer connected to it.

Quite possibly it is, but I still get 'FPS' calculations of 80+ on
average, sometimes shooting up to over a 100 (taking screenshots of
that is really tough, though, because my reaction time isn't quick
enough).
Maybe I'm actually seeing a percentage of max FPS, and the 100+ are
the rounding errors? Just thinking with my fingers, here.

Sliders look great, and if I put the speed on *really slow* (1.00x) I
can even sometimes manage to hit one. I still haven't figured out what
I do differently between the ones I do hit and the ones I don't,
though.
I do sometimes have the feeling, with long, fast sliders, that they
only appear halfway through the slide. Also if I miss the beat
*before* the slider, I will automatically miss the slider as well. I
guess now I know what people feel like when they see Oendan/EBA for
the first time, without any context explanation.
Sigh. It's a little frustrating. The sliders make Osu!mode really look
like it should, and on the songs that I managed to get anywhere before
failing miserably (because I missed 19 sliders out of 20) was about
ten times as fun to play as osu!mod in 1.6x. Really almost like
playing Oendan. But I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Now I
want to try a different phone to see if maybe it's the hardware's
fault (tiny screen and fat fingers, not usually a good combination.
But I've managed fine so far). But of course I don't know anyone else
with an Android phone that a) I have physical access to and b)
wouldn't mind me installing stuff on their phone.

After some testing catched 2 bugs
1)in landscape Beats! main menu logo overlaps the ad (1st screenshot)
2)in classic themed arrows, holds don't have a visible end 0_0 (2nd screenshot)

"gone"? How so 0_0 ... The truth is out there =/
You could ask me to try =D ... Two days before.. I'm again stuck with my PIII 800mhz 256ram for two weeks approx and on 2g/3g SOMETIMES. Operation codename "dacha"©

As for asking anyone else to try... well, I didn't think it was up to
me to ask. I was trying to make a custom noteskin based on the
original one for myself, and if it turned out right, I could share. So
far unsuccessful, though.

(Maybe this would have been a better question for the forum?)
Download from where to where?
It currently says on the Downloads page on the Beats Portable site
that Osu files can't as yet be downloaded directly to your phone. You
can download them to your computer and then put them on your phone
that way.
Or did you mean something else?
