Dear Sonny,

Thanks for your good wishes. 

As you may be aware, International Clinic ( IC) is a premium healthcare service.

The standard consultation fee for a specialist is KD 20, which I felt was beyond the reach of the middle income residents mainly the expatriates.

The administration has kindly permitted me to create the Low Cost Quality Care ( LCQC) which runs from 1 pm to 4pm on every working day at IC Farwaniya. The first consultation during this time is only KD 9 and repeat visit within a week is free. After 1 week there will be a charge of KD 6. 

There is no compulsion to do any blood test at IC. Tests done in the Govt hospital or quality controlled private labs are interpreted free during the consultation. The charge for most of the tests at the IC quality controlled lab is less than other labs. On top of that there is a 25% discount for any test done for my patients during this season of giving. The copy of all tests done are given freely to the patients. There is no compulsion to buy any medicines at the IC pharmacy.

In short, there are no hidden charges when the KD 20 consultation is offered for KD 9 only with follow up charges at KD 6 . All consultations after 4pm will be charged at  KD 10 only during this season of giving .

Since this offer is to help the middle income patients, there will be no concession for those covered by private insurance companies or the 4 figure income group.
