Is it possible to set the parameters for a C++ algorithm individually for each instance of the algorithm? If I try to do so in the local editor, it crashes, and no option is available to do so on the web platform.

I have also tried to add the parameters in the .json files. This approach works when running locally, but pushing to the web platform fails with this approach.

Hi Joe,

In BEAT, algorithms define a set of parameters along with their default values.
Later, when you are creating an experiment, you can change these parameter values.

So, you create one algorithm (with configurable parameters) and then create several experiments that change those parameters in the block(s) that the algorithm is used.

If you are doing this and still have problems, please send relevant files and steps to get to the error that I can reproduce your problem.
If you can also record your screen while working with the local editor to show it is crashing, it would be helpful.

Thank you,
Amir

Hi Amir,

I've attached a screen recording of what I see happening. I am able to manually edit the .json to add the parameters, but then I cannot upload it to the platform.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the screen recording.
Could you also send the files so that I can reproduce this issue?
I would need the experiment json file, the algorithms (.so and .json), the analyzer (.py and .json).

Thank you,
Amir
