Hi BEAST users,

I am planning to use SNAPP with GBS data, and I want to get familiar with the program first. I'm hoping to use the program on Ubuntu 12.04 for the moment (Mac later). I downloaded BEAST v. 2.3.0 from the website, extracted the archive and moved the folder to my home directory (~/BEAST/). I can start BEAUti from the command line. The problem is that I am working from an institution through a proxy, and though I can export an http_proxy in my terminal (and so use something like wget) or set a system wide proxy, BEAUti's package manager doesn't like it and says it can't connect to the internet (AddOnManager is similar).

I saw that another option to get packages is by downloading them by hand. I haven't been able to find the latest SNAPP package, however, as the last packages list for BEAST 2 seems to have been updated a year ago (or I can't find the recent one). I found the git repository for SNAPP 1.2.1 (https://github.com/BEAST2-Dev/SNAPP), but I don't know how to find the package.

Does anyone know where to find the most recent packages for download?

Cheers,

Ben

Ben,

If you run Beauti, go to Manage Packages, then Package Repositories, you can see where Beauti looks, which is
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CompEvol/CBAN/master/packages2.3.0.xml
This contains a list of URLs.
