Hi,

The scale axis of Fig Tree invariably appears in increasing order,
that is the root is set to zero and the tips to the maximum date.
Obviously when dating trees I want my tips to be zero (current
evolutionary time) and estimate the age of the nodes.

I have tried several things but the scale doesn't changes. Does anyone
know how to change this?

Many thanks in advance!

If you go to 'Tree Scale', set the 'Scale factor' to -1. Time will
then go backwards from the youngest tip. If the youngest tip was
sampled at, say, '2007' then enter this into the 'Offset by' box and
you will have a scale in years.
