creating bayesian skyline plot

hello everyone 

i am new user to beast and trying to build BSP from mtDNA. 

My youngest sample was taken around 2020, and I was trying to get a BSP plot, so I put the date as 2020 (attachment, P-1) and built the BSP, but the BSP gave the date in the minus sign (attachment, P-2). This is because I put the date in 2020 instead of -2020 or something else. And is there any way I can increase the resolution of the time interval? For example, if the time interval on the X axis is 10K, can I down it to 3 or 5K?

(Note: MY ESS value is not good because i am not trying to parameterize yet.)

I can’t help you unfortunately, but I would like to pose a question back at you.. do you know if this type of analysis can be done with a morphological alignment? I’d very much like to do something similar, but my alignment is in the form of a binary presence “1” absence “0” nexus file.
