I am analysing a RADSeq dataset using ExaBayes and would like to use Desitree to check for contradictions in the dataset using Densitree.

Could you please tell me how to define an outgroup taxon, that will be used for rerooting the trees (defining it in the prior analysis is not an option at this point).

Thank you

Anne

Hi Anne,

Rerooting is not possible in DensTree. If you really belief that the root should be elsewhere, you might want to add a monophyletic constraint to the analysis to enforce an outgroup. You have to be really sure that the constraint is what you belief though.

Cheers, Remco
