Hello,

I try to run MC3 in BEAST v1.10.4, but it stops without giving any error message.

I try to run an xml that is normally running without MC3 options.

I run in Linux server, version CentOS 7.9.2009 with a bash script. Everything works well without MC3 parameters (-mc3_chains, -mc3_delta, and -mc3_swap). But the following command does not work;

/directory/BEASTv1.10.4/bin/beast -working -overwrite -seed $RANDOM_SEED  -beagle -beagle_cpu -beagle_double -beagle_thread_count 5 \
-mc3_chains 4 -mc3_delta 0.25 -mc3_swap 3000 \
file.xml 2>&1> file.screen.log

In file.screen.log the last lines are;

Creating the MCMC chain:
  chain length = 30000000
  operator adaption = true
  adaptation delayed for 300000 steps
Underflow calculating likelihood. Attempting a rescaling... (patterns)
# BEAST v1.10.4 Prerelease #bc6cbd9

# -working -overwrite -seed 61657207650 -beagle -beagle_cpu -beagle_double -beagle_thread_count 5 -mc3_chains 4 -mc3_delta 0.25 -mc3_swap 3000 file.xml
# keywords: skyline discretized_branch_rates

Can someone please help to figure out what can be the problem? Should I edit the file.xml?

Best,
Hovhannes
