Hi all,
Beauti2 hangs and has to be restarted every time I try to import a tab delimited file with taxon names and dates. I tried downloading software anew and clearing my library cache (not sure that helps) but problem persists. It seems the guess dates function in Beauti2 is much more restrictive so now I cannot use BEAST2 at all.
Does anyone have this problem at all? If not any idea what might cause this problem on a system? I'm using mac osx.
Thanks very much,
Divya

Hi, Divya,
There is no problem for this function in BEAUti 2.4.7. The tab-delimited file "FluDates.txt" is attached for an example using "Flu.nex". Two screenshots below show how it works.
The file needs to be a plain text. One easy way to do is to use Excel to write the values and save it as a "Tab Delimited Txt" file.
