Hi,

While trying to install Beast 1.10.1 for windows (on a windows 10 machine) from the zip file at the github repository

my antivirus (windows defender) is detecting "TrojanDownloader:O97M/Donoff" in the BEAST v1.10.1.exe file and consequently quarantined the file.

Is it ok to authorise the file?

Thanks

We are investigating this and believe it is due to the software we use to turn the Java program in to an easy to run Windows .EXE file. We suspect it is a false positive (“TrojanDownloader” is not a specific type but just a generic label for files it finds suspicious).

However, you can also run BEAST by double-clicking on the ‘beast.jar’ and ‘beauti.jar’ files in the /lib folder or using the batch commands in the /bin folder.
