I have an xml for a breakaway phylogeography analysis—I've installed the necessary packages, added the necessary bits of xml as this webpage specifies, but am faced with the following error message when I run it in Beast:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Could not find class beast.base.core.BEASTInterface as service beast.base.core.BEASTInterface

Perhaps the package is missing or the package is not correctly configured by the developer (Developer: check by running beastfx.app.tools.PackageHealthChecker on the package)

Other potentially relevant details about the analysis: BinaryCovarion BEAUti template, ORC clock on the phylogeny and the geography, BDSKY_Serial tree prior using tip dates, many MRCA priors on the phylogeny.

Any ideas specific to this or about getting breakaway phylogeography analyses started in general are welcome!

The webpage specifies XML for BEAST v2.6, but the error message suggests you are using BEAST V2.7.

The the spec attributes in the XML format changed a little between these versions: you can probably fix all of these by replacing 'beast' with 'breakaway' when this error occurs.
For example, beast.geo.SampledTraitLikelihood should be breakaway.geo.SampledTraitLikelihood for v2.7.

Let me know you still cannot run the XML after this fix.

Cheers, Remco
