Generalized stepping-stone in BEAST2?

Dear all,

I wonder if GSS is available in BEAST2 at all - I came across this GeneralisedSteppingStone.java class in the model-selection package source code, but not sure whether it is simply legacy code: https://github.com/BEAST2-Dev/model-selection/blob/master/src/modelselection/gss/GeneralisedSteppingStone.java. I could not find any resource on how to set up GSS in BEAST2.

Hi Robert,

The code is there and should work but has not been thoroughly tested and is indeed not documented.

Specifying a sampling distribution such that generalised stepping stone works well is the part that is especially badly tested/documented.

Are you interested in developing the method further, or just apply the method? If the former, it may make a good starting point, but if the latter it is not recommended at this stage.
