Is there a way to modify an xml file created for BEAST to be changed to a BEAST2 formatted xml without manually rearranging the data to match the required specs?

Thanks

Hi -- pretty sure the answer is "no".  The XML formats between Beast1 and Beast2 are pretty substantially different, it would be a lot more work to write a converter than it would be to just set up an analysis from scratch in Beast2. Cheers! Nick

Hi Will,

Perhaps it helps a little that BEAUti allows importing of an alignment from a BEAST 1 XML file. If you select the File/Import alignment menu, and select a BEAST 1 XML file, it should appear as a partition in the partition panel. You still have to set up the rest of the analysis in BEAUti, since only the alignment is imported.

Cheers,

Remco
