Good morning!

After running BEAST2 (2.4.7) I analysed .log file by Tracer (v1.6) and got the following error:

Problem with trace file: state 2147483647 is not consistent with previous spacing (line 4234). However, I just ran 140.000.000

Using Treeannotator, I had this error:

Error Parsing Input Tree: Unknown command '2663241305963]:1.5401981646068208E-4,66' in TREES block

Would you please tell me what is wrong and how to fix them?

Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Giap Nguyen

Hi Giap,

It sounds to me like your log and tree files are corrupt in some way.  Did you perhaps stop the analysis before it was complete? This can occasionally cause problems if beast was part way through writing to dish when it's terminated. If this is what's happened, it should be easy to fix by just removing the incomplete records from the end of each corrupted file.

Another way to get corrupt output is if two or more analyses are running concurrently but are writing to the same log file. This is really the worst case scenario since, as you can imagine, this results in completely nonsensical output.

Just some ideas,

Tim
