I am sorry if this is a trivial question but I have not been able to
find an answer. My question is how can one open xml files previously
created with Beauti and edit some of the parameters employed in the
analyses. I know BEAUTi can open xml files of this kind but all the
parameters have to be set from scratch. What is really tough to do is
recreate the taxon sets from the beginning when dealing with a
significant number of sequences. Can someone point me to the way of
doing this with BEAUTi? I know I can manually edit the xml but this is
also tedious and time consuming and prone to mistakes. Thanks in advance.
Aris
You can import the data from a previously created XML but you can't re-open it for editing the model. You can save a 'BEAUti document' from within BEAUti which you can reopen but this is independent of generating the XML.
