File error when attempting to resume BEAST 2 analysis on Windows

Hi all,

When I attempt to resume a BEAST 2 (version 2.3.0) run on Windows (either using the command `java -jar beast.jar -resume -statefile my_analysis.xml.state myanalysis.xml` or the 'resume' option in the BEAST.exe interface) I get the error: "File error: tree.trees -> tree.trees.bu: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."

I noticed there was a bug report here that got closed. Will I just have to wait for the next release of BEAST 2 for a fix?

You can get the development version, with a fix, from
http://hudson.cs.auckland.ac.nz/job/BEAST2/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/build/dist/beast.jar
This works for me under Windows.

I am using Beast 2 (version 2.6.3) on Windows, and I am getting the same error mentioned by Roger:

File error: \\naturkundemuseum-berlin.de\MuseumDFSRoot\Benutzer\Valentina.Rovelli\Documents\Valentina\Test17.trees -> \\naturkundemuseum-berlin.de\MuseumDFSRoot\Benutzer\Valentina.Rovelli\Documents\Valentina\Test17.trees: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

BEAST has terminated with an error. Please select QUIT from the menu.

I already tried to download the development version as suggested by Graham, but it didn't work for me. I also tried to resume the analysis from another computer, but I got the same error.

Would you have an idea about how I can solve this issue? Do you know if this problem should already be fixed in the Beast version I am using?
