I was running the Tracer v1.5 to perform analysis of BSP, when more or less 3/4 of the analysis the following message apperead on the screen:
"Fatal exception (email the authors): null"

In the Terminal appears the following messages:
"
java.lang.NullPointerException
    at dr.app.tracer.analysis.BayesianSkylineDialog$AnalyseBayesianSkylineTask.doWork(Unknown Source)
    at org.virion.jam.util.LongTask$1.construct(LongTask.java:31)
    at org.virion.jam.util.SwingWorker$2.run(SwingWorker.java:135)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
"

My log file consists of the merged of three separate runs, which were combined in Logcombiner without burnin in the union, with a 81 million states. the same process was conducted in the file tree.

Does anyone know why the error? Any help?

Best regards,

Jackson Lima

Hi Jackson... I am not sure if you figured this out or not, but this error typically occurs when your log and tree files don't have the same number of states.  Simply open them both up in a text program, scroll to the bottom and verify.

I am having the same problem despite the fact that both of my files have the same number of states.
