I think the website needs some richer information. I just stumbled
across it (linked from Simon Willison) and reading it, I had a few
questions:

- how does it work, high-level? what's a queue? what gets queued? this
information is in the protocol doc but could be distilled down into a
high-level introduction which would be very useful.

- does beanstalk inherently support distributed servers?

- does the protocol help implement blocking, or is that the domain of
the client libraries? in other words, do the client libraries
themselves still have to poll?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but even if they are, I got 'em, so
perhaps they should be addressed in the FAQ.

Thanks!

These are excellent questions, and you are absolutely right. I'll put
something together in the next day or so.

I also welcome contributions from the list, and I agree with Erich
that a wiki would be great. Do many people here have a github account?
There is a wiki feature on that site -- I could just link there from
the beanstalkd pages on xph.us.

github accounts are free now, so it's as good a place as any.
