I am using bean-extract to read transactions from a variety of institutions in the US (i.e. Chase, Citi, my credit union, etc), but it does not work for Amex and Vanguard. The difference that I saw is that the ofx tags are separated on multiple lines for those institutions for which import works, while they are all on one line for Amex and Vanguard.
