Hi,

I'd appreciate if someone here could help me get Fava to provide more customized report. At the moment it provides a General Overview of my spending but I would appreciate if there was a way to tweak the Tree Report to give more specific details. What I am trying to do is control the depth of the report. In ledger that is achieved with the command --depth. Is there something similar available for beancount?

Highly Appreciate it!

Thanks
Romeo

Hi Romeo,

currently there is no setting for "depth" in the reports for Fava. You can manually toggle different levels of the tree-tables, but there is no permalink functionality to reproduce it in Fava.

Best,
Dominik

Hi Romeo,

I think this might be a good feature to add to Fava. Any thoughts on this?

I don’t think it is very common, but a PR is always welcome :) There are already some GET-parameters that controll how Fava renders different screens (on the Journal page, for example). So this should not be much effort to implement.

Best,
Dominik

If I understand your request correctly, you should be able to use fava-collapse-account to have some accounts collapsed by default. I use it for hiding the commodity accounts within an investment account.
