Plugin to spread an interest across calendar years for accrual accounting

Whipped up box_accrual, a new plugin that works in conjunction with the effective_date plugin to spread the effective “interest” of a box spread loan across calendar years for an estimate of the capital losses taken each year.

That’s probably way too specific to be useful to most folks. More generally, the plugin takes a posting from an entry, and spreads it across years given a start and an end date. This is a common pattern in accounting called accrual accounting. If you have a use for it, feel free to use this plugin as a template to write your own plugin. Or if you want to make this plugin more generic and more widely useful, have at it.
