Hiya,

in my attempt to decide whether to replace Gnucash with Beancount or
(h)ledger I've stumbled upon a post sharing few scripts to produce nice
reports from the ledger's data by using Gnuplot.

I'm aware that ledger has built-in support for plotting, so wonder what
is the situation with Beancount and whether you consider there is need
for using Gnuplot considering the reporting features of Beancount
and/or Fava web ui?

Sincerely,
Gour

An intelligent person does not take part in the sources of misery,
which are due to contact with the material senses. O son of Kuntī,
such pleasures have a beginning and an end, and so the wise man does
not delight in them.

Just use a Jupyter notebook and the beancount Python API, you'll be in a very good place, much better than spitting out GNUplot image files...

Ohh, that's wonderful idea. Thanks a lot!

Everyone is forced to act helplessly according to the qualities
he has acquired from the modes of material nature; therefore no
one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.
