Rent Income Inversed

I'm using beancount 2.3.6 to manage the books for a rental property.

The debit and credit for receiving rent from a tenant is simple:

Assets:Bank:CheckingAccount   1000.00 USD

Income:Rent

Here's a visual representation of this transaction.

In fava, the rent appears as negative versus positive.

Can anyone assist? Am I missing a config setting somewhere?

I'm pretty sure the account types (Assets and Income) are used correctly.

I found the fava option 2016-04-14 custom "invert-income-liabilities-equity" "auto-reload" "true"

everything was in the forum and documentation
