Generate monthly end-of-month balance

Is there a way to generate monthly end-of-month balance with one bean-query statement? I've read bean-query document for a long time and haven't figure out yet.

Thanks Martin, it looks like I'll need some help from bash/python etc. to get what I want.

I brought this up because fava don't have account balance graph for stock account. For an account mixed with cash and stock, it only shows the monthly balance for the cash part. Maybe it should be a feature request to fava.

The right thing to do would be to convert the resulting Inventory objects to either cost basis or market value every month.
