Has anyone created a bean-bake replacement?

I know we can just have someone use fava, but getting people to install python and then running fava from a command line is not user friendly to most people and is a big hurdle for many.  "Seems complicated".

So before I start vibe coding something, I just wanted to check in and see if anything has been developed similar to that since it was discontinued in BC3.

I'm not sure, but maybe https://lazy-beancount.xyz/ will be of interest to you.

Not that I know of. Would be nice to have. @yagebu says single-report-to-html should be easy to implement.

Hi Chris,

Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for but I have used favagtk by johannesjh in the past.

It's also available on Flathub as a Flatpak so it's quite easy to get it running without manually installing or running python from the command line.

I ended up moving back to the command line as it's the best way to work if you have plugins.

I hope this helps!

Leo
