Forgive the noob question, I'm totally new to accounting, I'm not even
sure what a tax advisor would need!

I assume he doesn't just want balances of my accounts/categories, but he
wants all the transactions and the categories I put them into.

I could do "bean-report -f csv account.beancount journal" but it doesn't
say in a column which account the transaction belongs to. Neither do I
want to manually print out every category like "bean-report -f xls
account.beancount journal -a Expenses:Core". What can I do?

Thanks,

Andrew

Why don't you just ask them? :)

The good news is, whatever they need, there should be some way to
massage the data out from Beancount into whatever format they prefer.

From past discussions, I seem to recall a lot of preference for very
common formats like QuickBooks and others you might expect. In fact,
finding a tax professional who is willing / able to work with Beancount
(or lightly reformatted) data has been a subject of discussion on the
list in its own right.

Kindly let us know what you learn in this regard.
