Hi all:

I'm new to the Beancount world and I'm trying to get started. One thing that's confusing me a little is that the repo says the current version is v3, but the documentation index says that "As of summer 2020, a rewrite to C++ is underway.", and the links to individual docs point to v2 docs (eg), with the v3 docs (eg) saying they're currently in development......

Am I reading all this wrong? Apologies if the answer is very obvious and I'm being dense! What documentation should I be reading?

In case it makes a difference, my current intended workflow - at least for testing - is to run all this locally using fava.

Thanks,

Daniel

There were a lot of changes in v2 that people felt it would make sense
to make a new major version: that became v3. So v3 is no longer the
future rewrite but v2 with some changes and a lot of components split
out into separate projects (e.g. beanquery).

Unfortunately, some docs are still out of date.
