Hi Martin et al.,

I was wondering what the best way to track interest rates would be.

To track my mortgage I book both principle reduction and interest
payment separately each month. I've recently done a loan modification
that has resulted in a different interest rate, and I'd like to record
this rate.

I could use a comment, but that's obviously not very useful. Using a
tag feels a bit like a clutch, while events aren't connected to
specific accounts. Any better ideas?

Sorry for brevity, traveling in Berlin writing from phone

Use an event directive, that's what they're for, time varying values. Or if you prefer to associate with an account, you could use a note directive

Thanks Martin,

A note directive is exactly what I was looking for, to associate the
data to the account. For machine readability (if I ever need it) I
attached a tag to that note with the same data in more structured
form.
