This works, sometimes, which is amazing:

I've returned to my beancount ledger after a 2 year hiatus. I'm building an entire workflow to process all the statements from my bank using a basic narration/memo match (one command), then handing off the ambiguous transactions to the LLM to take a guess at (second command), then using a custom built transaction navigator to quickly review all of the transactions that need a review.

The navigator cli is fast in all the places you want it to be that neovim as a text editor can't be.

It has identified the countries I've visited based on the obscure names of restaurants and sailboat chandleries in the South Pacific.

It's also great if the ingestion pipeline creates a balance directive failure: "figure out why the balance directives have failed". It has identified the standard transactions-from-both-institutions problems all the way to one transaction was lost because of a bug in the ingestion but a second transaction was also amplified and I can fix it if you want problems.
