to Beaker Browser
Hi there!

If you're anything like me, you probably wish to work on Beaker-browser projects that thus don't put users under your mercy for eternity.

But for such projects to live long enough to deliver actual value, they probably need to leave the doing-it-for-fun circle into the doing-it-for-money circle, and depending on willpower to continue into depending on social pressure. Web development is hard and not fun. No wonder you burnt out or your side project(s) died before living.

So, regardless of whether you hate development as much as I do, this is an invitation to introduce ourselves in the hope that we find work-mates who will develop with us, design with us, invest money, or anything else.

==========================================================

I'll start:

I'm Hossam El-Deen, a Software Engineer with ~2.5 years of professional experience and a B.S. in Computer Science.

I'm all into the local-first Web (i.e., Beaker Browser). Blockchain is interesting but I see it as a research project; so, currently zero interest in working on cryptocurrencies (and thus, according to current common wisdom, zero interest in blockchain). Very interested in pfrazee's NodeVMS and Secure ledgers (as ideas). Have a secret, long, grand plan for Beaker-browser ecosystem.

Been working for around a month now on a Beaker-Browser project. Totally intending to sell it for money like the olden days (an interesting experiment). Unfortunately, slacking & suffering analysis paralysis a lot. Also, need money, probably. Definitely looking for work-mates (and money source :( ). Project domain is around "changing work conditions"; still too protective to speak of the idea publicly.

Can send CV to anyone who asks. In summary, I've made professional projects with:

- Languages: Java, Scala, Typescript, Javascript.
- Backend: Play Framework, Spring Framework, Project Reactor.
- Frontend: Angular.
- Mobile: Android.
- Other: Docker, Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cucumber, Maven, Yarn, npm.

High interest in or familiarity with:

- Elm, Akka, Vertx, NodeJS, Functional Programming, Actor Model.

Proud of my communication/team skills: in my previous job, mentored a fresh dev, moved the team from emails to GitLab issues, I believe I handled conflict resolution well, ... etc.

Open to anything, but my dream would be to find (1) someone who would pay me for a profit share if it succeeds, (2) a coding buddy, and (3) an HTML/CSS person.

Github: https://github.com/hossameldeen (Not an active person. Mostly (not totally) against working for free)
Email: can be found on my github profile (is it safe to write an email in a public google group?). If you can't find it, comment; will figure out a way to give it to you.
