Made small changes to spindle configuration

Hi,
Little heads up: I did some small changes how internally spindles are
configured to have it easier to support lasers. It will now also not
create a spindle object if there are no outputs defined to switch it
on, but I _think_ it should not have messed properly configured
spindles.
